Coral Springs Storm Water Damage

The Before Photo depicts several inches of groundwater that penetrated this commercial building in Coral Springs after a tropical storm. Since this is a category 3 water loss—contaminated Black Water with debris and chemicals, SERVPRO technicians can don some PPE personal protective equipment during the water extraction process. A portable sump pump and a truck-mounted vacuum are the advanced pieces of equipment of choice to quickly dispatch this dirty, standing water. As the walkway is being worked on, a “flood cut” was performed on the sheetrock wall to remove contaminated, non-salvageable material and to also open up the void for drying.
